Celeste is the first Hungarian Vizsla we’ve kept under our Batorok prefix, making her an incredibly special part of our family. Now four years old, Celeste was born as a singleton, meaning she was the only puppy in her litter. Naturally, she became the centre of attention from the moment she arrived—adored by her parents, doted on by the other dogs, and especially cherished by Kirstie. Born during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Celeste’s early days were filled with love and care, making her a true “pandemic puppy” and the apple of everyone’s eye. She continues to be the heart of our household and is known for her quirky, lovable personality.
Although the pandemic slowed the start of her show career, it didn’t take long for Celeste to make a name for herself once restrictions lifted. At just 11 months old, she took her first Best in Group win in style, along with Puppy in Show, marking the first big milestone for the Batorok prefix. From there, she went on to achieve significant success, including the top honour of Best Exhibit in Show three times, as well as Runner-Up Best in Show once.
Celeste’s incredible movement, featuring her light-footed, far-reaching gait and impeccable tail carriage, has become her signature in the show ring. These traits have been passed on to her son Esker. In addition to her accomplishments, Celeste is deeply affectionate, endlessly curious, and always on alert for anyone with food in hand!
